Dorothy Isabelle Buddenhagen (nee Vorpahl), 95, of Florence, WI. formerly of West Bend, WI. passed
away on Sunday, April 16th, 2023, at Florence Health Services in Florence.
Dorothy was born on June 10th, 1927, in the Village of Kewaskum to the late Dorothy K. (Theusch) and
John A. Vorpahl,Sr.
Dorothy was united in marriage to Floyd F. Buddenhagen in a double wedding on December 23, 1944, in
Waubeka, WI. along with Dorothy's sister Dolores T. Vorpahl who married Allen E. Kertscher.
Dorothy & Floyd, after many years, both retired from the West Bend Company & then moved to the
home they built together in Florence, WI., for their retirement years.
After 74 ½ loving years of marriage, Floyd passed away on May 27th, 2019.
Dorothy is survived by her three sons; Floyd F. "Butch" Buddenhagen, Jr., Richard (Charlene)
Buddenhagen and Robert (Mary) Buddenhagen. Eight Grandchildren; Timothy (Shelly) Buddenhagen,
Christopher Buddenhagen, Amy (Timothy) Luft, Steven (Tracy) Buddenhagen, Megan (Dante)
Buddenhagen and Malea Buddenhagen, Ann (Brian Stockinger) Buddenhagen & Julie (Brian) Foth.
Twelve Great Grandchildren; Jordan (Laura) Buddenhagen, TyAnn (Cody) Ulmer, and Tenley
Buddenhagen, Hope (Zach) Thornton and Paige Buddenhagen, Ella Buddenhagen, Joseph, Joshua and
Luke Buddenhagen, Robert and Joseph Bonesteel, and Amelie Foth. Three Great-Great Grandchildren;
Raiya and Shaye Buddenhagen and Wrenyn Ulmer. One sister, Theresa Anne Brockman, and two sister-in-laws, Ann C. Vorpahl and Teresa C. Vorpahl. Dorothy is also survived by many other relatives and
friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, her parents; Dorothy and John A. Vorpahl,Sr. and
Floyd's parents, Lillian (Kocher) and Arthur Buddenhagen, her daughter in law; Judith Buddenhagen,
Her siblings; Dolores (Allen) Kertscher, Frederick (Audrey) Vorpahl,Sr., Anthony (Louise) Vorpahl, Adeline
(Elmer) Footland, John A. Vorpahl,Jr., Ronald C. Vorpahl, Patricia Vorpahl and John H. Vorpahl,Sr.
Two sister in-laws; Bernice (Benjamin) Kurtz and Beulah (Leslie) Kurtz. Three brothers-in-law; Gerald W.
Brockman, Ralph (Anna) Buddenhagen and Raymond Buddenhagen.

love and care.
In accordance with Dorothy's wishes, private funeral services will take place.

I Have Nothing But Fond Memories Of The Many Visits From My Aunt Dorothy And Uncle Floyd To My Childhood Home On Kettle Moraine Drive. And The Vorpahl Family Gatherings We Had.
