Dorothy McDempsey Berthelot Dupuy, also known as "Sister", passed away at her home in Brusly on Friday, August 22, 2025 at the age of 95. She was a native of Bayou Pigeon. "Sister" was a homemaker and worked many years at area pharmacies in the Brusly area.

Funeral services will be private with a burial to follow in Grace Memorial Park in Plaquemine.

Sister is survived by three children, Doris Morales, Albert Berthelot and wife Linda, Donald Lee Berthelot and wife Dana, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Shriley Dupree, Mary Sarradet, Sara Grady and husband Skipper.

Sister was preceded in death by her husbands, Adolph J. Berthelot, Logan Dupuy; three brothers, Louis, Dave and Charles McDempsey and sister, Bertha Miller; son-in-law, Donald Morales; daughter-in-law, Jackie Berthelot.

The family would like to thank Comfort Care Hospice.
