Known as Corene to most, Babe to family, and Momma to a lucky four.

She was born in Abilene Texas in May of 1941 to Robert and Corene "Cody" Jenkins. She was the oldest of six kids, and fiercely loved her siblings, most of whom have passed before her... twins, Rocky Jenkins and Brocky Jenkins, brother Robert "Bobby" Jenkins, and sister Stormy Richards. Her surviving sister (and closest to her heart) is June Taylor.

She married Ron Stewart in 1959 and settled in Dinuba, California. They had three children, Mark, Misti and Michael. The Stewarts enjoyed camping, small-town living, traveling adventures, backyard cookouts, playing cards, and get-togethers of friends and family. Corene ran a daycare from home for over a decade, where she nurtured many children beyond her own.

Following a divorce in 1978, she became Data Processing Supervisor at Alta Hospital in Dinuba, where she worked for 20 years until her retirement.

She married Jimmy Franks in 1981 and welcomed Jims's daughter, Cynthia, into her heart and family.

Together, Babe and Jim loved to travel and they hosted many memorable events. The family loved to gather at their home for Christmases, Super- Bowl parties, Easter and numerous BBQ's and Pool Parties! Great memories and fun times were had by all.

She was soft-spoken and never spoke badly about anyone. She was creative and clever with her own sense of style. She was kind, generous, and had a fun sense of humor. She was also Sassy and Stubborn, which are definitely family traits. She was deeply loved by all who knew her.

Her favorite place was Pismo Beach, at the Sandcastle Inn and she cherished the family trips there. She loved to go to casinos, to go "ching-a-linging", and was always lucky! She loved bling, and the color red, and for the last few years she sported a red streak in her hair.

She loved family gatherings the best. She'd have a beer and join the family fun with her favorite game, Chicken Scratch, which was created by her mom.

After Jimmy passed, she moved to Idaho and lived with Misti, Rick and Ryan for the past 10 years, where she was happy and cared for, and enjoyed her blingy room, the family dogs, favorite tv shows, Sunday dinners and family relationships in her retirement years.

She was on hospice for the past year. Her decline was sudden but family was able to gather at the end of her life. She was surrounded by Love, in person or on the phone, video and even zoom, to witness her journey Home , to Jesus in heaven.

We all cried together to lose such a loving soul. She was our Connector and we will hold her in our hearts.
