Age 101, of Shaler Twp., on Sunday, January 29, 2023, Mrs. Genser was the beloved wife for 64 years of the late Clarence "Sep" Genser; mother of Ron Genser (Sharon), Rick Genser (Debbie); daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian Costello; grandmother of Carrie (John), Kelly (Chad), Scott (Callie), Rick (Morgan), Craig (Emma); great-grandmother of Evan, Austin, Logan, Mackenzie, Brady, Henley, Cameron. Sep's parents opened the family business, Mike's Service in 1927. When Sep was away in the South Pacific during WWII, Dottie worked pumping gas and helping customers. She has lived in the family home her and Sep built in 1955 alone for the last 15 years, self-sufficient. Early on in life, Dottie loved music and dancing. Later in life, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and word searches. Raymond and the Andy Griffith shows were favorites to watch. She was known to many people by the many roles she played- Dot, Dottie and as the grandchildren affectionally called her, nanny or gramma. She had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
