Dorothy Ann Glogowski

Dorothy Ann Glogowski nee Sauch. Age 82. Longtime Homewood resident formerly of Harvey, Illinois. Loving and devoted wife for 30 years of the late Edward Glogowski. Daughter of the late Helen nee Bekin and John Sauch. Sister of Thomas (Mary) Sauch and Patricia (Henry) Hino. Dear aunt and friend of many. Graduate of Thornton High School. Dorothy attended St. Margaret's Nursing School in Hammond, Indiana and became a Registered Nurse. United States Air Force Veteran, where she served as a Second Lieutenant Nurse at the Air Force Base Hospital in Laredo, Texas. Dorothy was a Registered Nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Blue Island. Dorothy received a Bachelor of Education degree from Governors State University, becoming a teacher at St. Florian Grade School in Chicago's Hegewisch neighborhood. Longtime active member of St Agnes and St Kieran Church where she assisted in the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults), Eucharistic Minister, PADS Volunteer, Funeral Mass Coordinator and Religious Education Teacher. Lying in State at Our Lady of the Heights Parish/St Kieran Church, 724 195th St., Chicago Heights on Saturday August 16, 2025 from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Entombment Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood, IL.
