Wharton Funeral Home - WhartonWith heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Krobot, who left this world on December 3, 2025, at the age of 99 in a nursing home in Wharton, Texas. Born on June 30, 1926, in Brownsville, Texas, Dorothy lived a life rich in love and warmth, cherished for her kind and welcoming nature.
Dorothy was a devoted housewife whose greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She created countless memories filled with laughter and love, especially during the holidays, a time she held dear. Her spirit shone brightly in the lives of those she touched, and she will be remembered fondly by her loved ones who continue to carry her legacy.
She is survived by her beloved daughters, Phyllis McHaney of Boling, TX, and Jackie Strickland of Carlton, GA. Dorothy’s legacy lives on through her grandchildren Anita, Kelley, Shane, Sharon, Tommy, Shalby, Rusty, Richard, Randy, Jackie Leann, and Josh, along with numerous great-grandchildren, each of whom holds a special place in her heart.
Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband, Emil Krobot, and her sons, Tommy Hession, Gary Krobot, and Robert Krobot. She joins her parents, Robert and Eva Sawyer, along with her siblings Mildred Green, Franklin Sawyer, Claud Sawyer, Irvin Sawyer, Buddy Sawyer, and Bobby Sawyer in eternal rest.
As we celebrate Dorothy's life, we take comfort in knowing that she was surrounded by love and will forever live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her gentle spirit and unwavering love will always be a guiding light for her family and friends.
