Dorothy M Leiterman, 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday December 17, 2022 with her family by her side at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay after a short illness. Dorothy was born on January 3, 1939 in Green Bay to Merlin Sr & Gladys (Nelson) Jorgensen. On November 28, 1957 she married the love of her life Donald J Leiterman. They recently celebrated 65 years together.
Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She enjoyed playing cards, visiting with friends and feeding the birds. She loved sitting on her patio and visiting with her amazing neighbors.
Dorothy will be deeply missed by her husband, Donald; daughters Lori Wotruba of Maribel; Lisa (Jim) Chapman of Green Bay. Her grandchildren: Justin (Brenda) Loritz of Whitelaw; Brittney (Kyle) VandeHey of DePere; Colin Chapman of Green Bay. Great Grandchildren Madelyn, Blake & Cora Loritz. She is further survived by her brother Merlin Jr (Yvonne) Jorgensen of Denmark; Brother in-law Rodney (Carolyn) Kowalczyk of DePere; Sister in-law Dorothy Derricks of Eaton. Many nieces, nephews and long-time friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Son in-law Joseph Wotruba, Sister & Brother in-law Janice (Robert) Beimborn; Sister Beverly Kowalczyk; In laws Louis & Ella Leiterman; Brother in-law Alvin (Virginia) Leiterman; Sister in-laws Lorraine (Frank) Sekora and Josephine (Willard) Bielinski; Brother in-law Gayle Derricks; Niece Mary Ellen Krueger.
Friends may call on Thursday December 22, 2022 at All Saints Catholic Church 145 St Claude Street in Denmark. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 10:45. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.
The family would like to thank the ICU Team & Nurses at Bellin for all of their compassionate care for Dorothy. Their kindness made this sad time a little easier.
