Dorothy Haulbrooks Loudermilk, 91, wife to Marvin Loudermilk of Walhalla, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Loudermilk was the daughter of the late Fred and Margie Rogers Haulbrooks. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Marvin, for over 74 years. A devoted wife, loving mama, and cherished granny, she was a longtime member of North Walhalla Church of God. Throughout her life, she mastered many trades working as a licensed cosmetologist, a licensed practical nurse (LPN), and a quality inspector at Torrington. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Loudermilk is survived by a son: Jerry Loudermilk of Walhalla, SC; daughters: Rebecca Loudermilk McClellon (James) of Seneca, SC, and Julia Loudermilk McDowell (Hal) of Anderson, SC; sisters: Frances Pitts of Seneca, SC, Bonnie Holcombe, of Seneca, SC, and Sandra Smith of West Union, SC; grandchildren: Amy Bargeron (Brian), Ashley Williams (Tripp), Riley McDowell (Emmy), and Regan Yates (Steven); and great-grandchildren: Heather Bargeron, Hannah Bargeron, Lincoln Williams, Rhett Yates, and Blakely Yates. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Loudermilk was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Lesa Beth Loudermilk; and her sister: Peggy Smith. A visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Davenport Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, https://www.cff.org/give-monthly. The family are at their respective homes.
