Irvie William Loudermilk, Jr., age 68, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Highpoint Health Hospital, surrounded by family. He was born on March 5, 1957, in Detroit, MI, sharing a birthday with his Grandpa Cowan. As a teenager, his family moved to Tennessee, where he helped on the family farm. In life he worked on cars then later did lawnmower sales and repair. He loved singing and watching live bands perform. He was also an avid Tennessee Titans fan. Most important to him was family where he proudly referred to himself as the "#1 son," being the oldest of eight siblings. He never met a stranger and was known for his warmth, generosity, and kindness.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifton & Inez Loudermilk and Benjamin & Helen Cowan, and by his parents, Irvie & Faye Loudermilk. He is survived by his life partner, Susan Shive-whom he affectionately called "My Suzie"; his loving daughter, Rebecca Loudermilk (his little peanut); as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Hal (Tresa) Loudermilk, Glenda (Tommy) Terrill, Roy (Joyce) Loudermilk, Bonnie (Greg) Morris, Clara (Johnny) Yates, Thomas (Shannon) Loudermilk, and Paul (Dawn) Loudermilk; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 2:00pm from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Clayton Loudermilk officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens, and the family request memorial donations be made to Franklin County Christian Memorial Scholarship Fund.
