Dorothy was a faithful and active member of Shiloh A.M.E. Church. She served on the Usher Board, occasionally sang in the choir and was an actress in all of the church plays.
Dorothy surrounded herself with her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She poured love into all of us. Her love was unmatched. She spoiled us all. There was a quote she used to say to her daughters, "Momma's pretty baby. Momma's pretty doll." Dorothy loved on her family or anyone who came around. She would say, "I love your face or I miss your face."
