Dorothy June Nicholson, age 90, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on October 26, 2025. Dorothy was born on November 22, 1934, the daughter of the late Albert and Emily Olsen.
Dorothy married James Martin Nicholson on June 19, 1952, and they celebrated 53 years of marriage before he passed on December 10, 2005. Dorothy and Jim built thier home together in Muskegon, MI, where they raised three children: Marsha (Tony) Grimard, Randy (Cheryl) Nicholson, and Chris Nicholson.
They were very proud of their grandchildren: Nate (Lisa), Kari (Jamie), Nick (Heather), David (Erica), Nora (Loren), Ben, and Emily. Great-grandchildren include Johanna, Conner, Matthew, Ella, Jack, Jayden, Lillian, Sam, and Ashleigh.
Dorothy is survived by one sister, Sue Morningstar, and two brothers, Cliff and David Olsen.
Dorothy was well loved and respected by her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and for spreading laughter to everyone around her.
There will be a private family graveside service at Laketon Township Cemetery.
