Dorothy J. Sacco " Dot" Turkaly, formerly of McDonald, passed away on her 95th birthday, Friday, January 24, 2025 in Tapestry Senior Living.
Dorothy was born on January 24, 1930 in Bridgeville, a daughter of the late Bartlo and Ann Gemo Sacco.
Mrs. Turkaly was a retired beautician. Dorothy had a salon in her home where she served her clients for over 15 years. Dorothy was a social butterfly. She loved being around others. One of her favorite outings was going to the casino and testing her luck that day. Dorothy also enjoyed going to the local polka dances and showing everyone up with her dancing skills. Above all though, her favorite way to spend her day was with her granddaughter. The two were the best of friends and Dorothy throughly enjoyed every second she could spend with her.
Surviving is her daughter, Marsha (Harold) Ostrander and granddaughter, Alexis (Ethan) Ostrander-Healey.
Along with her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Turkaly and brother, Marshall Sacco.
All arrangements are private and entrusted to Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-826-2800).
