Funeral service for Dorothy "Aunt Bill" Slatten, 81, of Cache, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Cache, 401 West E Ave, with Pastor Jordan Kness officiating.

Burial will follow at Cache Cemetery under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Viewing will be held at 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a special viewing and visitation for family and friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Ms. Slatten passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 surrounded by her family at her home.

Dorothy was born on July 10, 1943 in Lawton, OK to John and Cleo (Tucker) Whittle. She grew up and attended school in Cache and graduated high school in 1961. During her life she worked a few jobs, including Gibson's associate, cleaning homes, and finally cafeteria cook and custodian at Cache Public Schools until her retirement. Ms. Slatten was blessed with two children and was an amazing mother and grandmother. She enjoyed dancing in her younger years, especially to country music. Dorothy loved to attend her grandchildren's sporting events, watch OU softball, and spend time with her family. Dorothy was a member at Wichita Baptist Church in Cache, where she was baptized alongside her parents and her sister, Dottie.

Ms. Slatten is survived by her son, David Slatten; her daughter and son in law, Candie and Jalynn Morgan; her granddaughters and their husbands, Courtney and Cody Penland and Lacey and Tyler Oxford; her great grandchildren, Kent Oxford, Wade Oxford, Jase Penland and Brynna Penland; many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Flora "Jackie" Hinch and her husband, Zolan, Wanda "Dottie" Greear and husband, Homer, and Juanita "Jo" Whittle.
