Dorothy Mae Smith, 82, of Springdale, AR, Arkansas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Thursday, August 28, 2025.
She was born July 19, 1943, in Springdale, AR, the daughter of the late Roy Carver and Rosie Robins Carver.
On April 9, 1962, in Springdale, AR, Dorothy married the love of her life, Jack Clayton Smith and he preceded her in death on October 11, 2009.
Dorothy is remembered for her kind heart that loved to help others. She was raised in the Baptist faith and was quick to let you know of her faith. She enjoyed going to the Springdale Senior Citizens Center and to Simms Corner. Dorthy was a member of the Springdale riding Club and always loved working as a timer or secretary in rodeos. Dorothy's heart was in Jr. Rodeo around the state. She was an avid supporter of young people becoming involved in the rodeo and would do anything she could to help.
Dorothy is survived by her brother Dale Carver and wife Mary; her sister, Dolly Carver Vannoy and husband Larry. Her grandchildren; Michael D Smith and wife Amanda, Christina R Lawson and husband Nicholas, and Cody A Smith and wife Megan; great grandchildren, Rhodey and Rhyden Smith, Courtney, Alyssa, McKynze, and Regan Lawson, and Clayton and Gatlin Smith.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three sons, Dwayne A, Warren L, and Terry D Smith
