Dorothy Darlene Varner, 78, of Stratford, died on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 24, 2025 at the First Assembly of God in Stratford with Kevin Anderson officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers at Stratford.
Dorothy was born on February 20, 1946 in Yoder, Colorado to Jake and Katie Lindt Devorss. She grew up in Yoder and married Andrew Marion Varner. He preceded her in death in 2010. She had been a caregiver and homemaker most of her life. She loved to crochet and refinish antique furniture. She was a member of the Assemble of God and loved to attend church and help raise money for missionaries.
She is survived by a daughter, Katherine Graf and husband Dan of Stratford; three sons, Jason Varner of San Francisco, Ca., Wayne Varner of Los Animas, Co., and Keith Varner of Walsenburg, Co.; two brothers, Oscar Devorss of Greely, Co. and Henry Devorss of Kearney, Ne.; eight grandchildren, Rebekah Pollack, Joshua Pollack, Andrew Pollack, Christy Howard, Jeff Varner, Erica Palacio, Michelle Shrout, and Brianna Graf; and two great grandchildren, Ezra and Lara.
