In Loving Memory
Dottie Perkins Potts, age 44, of Oxford, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with illness.
Born on July 1, 1980, Dottie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. She was a true caregiver in every sense of the word—nurturing, compassionate, and always placing the needs of others above her own. A homemaker by heart and vocation, Dottie dedicated her life to her family. She was a loving caregiver to her late son, Daniel Perkins, and found deep purpose in providing comfort and support to those around her.
Dottie found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved playing games on her phone, visiting with friends and family, birdwatching, and spending time outdoors. Her warmth, gentle spirit, and quiet strength touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Chris Potts of Oxford; her son, Landon Potts of Oxford; her sister, Delacy Howell (Rudy) of Batesville; her niece, Harleigh Matthews of Batesville; and her uncle, Ray Wright of Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son Daniel Perkins, her parents David and Beverly Perkins, and her nephew Michael Smith.
Though her final years were spent bedridden due to illness, Dottie’s spirit remained unbroken. She is now free and at peace.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared with friends and family.
