Doug Grant Devers of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the age of 63 after struggling with heart issues. Born on February 12, 1962, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, Doug was the beloved son of Nelson and Deloris Devers. He is remembered fondly for his strong work ethic, passion for life, and dedication to his family and community.
Doug graduated from Pryor Public Schools in 1980 and pursued further education at Northeastern State University. His commitment to service led him to join the Air National Guard, where he proudly served for 17 years. Following his military service, Doug embarked on a successful career that began with Norit Company and culminated at the Grand River Dam Authority, where he retired in 2023.
Beyond his professional achievements, Doug was deeply engaged in his community. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Pryor, reflecting his faith and commitment to helping others. He cherished the simple pleasures of life, including walking his two beloved dogs, Keifer and Koko, through the streets of Pryor. Doug maintained his hobbies of model building and reading, which were lifelong interests that brought him joy and fulfillment.
Doug is survived by his mother, Deloris Nofsinger, and stepfather, Jim Nofsinger; his brother, Cash Devers, and wife Pam; niece, Devon Devers, and fiancé Brent Heverly; nephew, Paul Devers, and special friend Elizabeth Lockmuller; aunt, Betty Devers; uncles, Glen Couch and Lloyd Couch; along with numerous cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
