Doug Zastrow

Douglas Zastrow, 59, of Saddle Brook, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Doug was a repair technician for Canon, for over 40 years. He had a big heart, was the life of the party, and brought laughter to anyone lucky enough to know him. Doug loved animals, maybe more than he liked most people, especially his dog Shade, aka, "shadycakes." In his leisure time he enjoyed being outdoors, going down the shore, trying his luck at the slots in Atlantic City, and hanging out with family and friends.
Beloved husband of Tanya Zastrow (nee Gochmonosky). Loving brother of Teri Zastrow-Williams and her husband Marvin and Gail and her husband Keith Giordano. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews and dear friend to so many. Doug will also be missed by his special canine companion, Shade.
Family will receive friends on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday May 13, 2025, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 12 Terrace Avenue Rochelle Park. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross, N. Arlington, NJ.
