He was a 1978 graduate of Jefferson City High School. He married the love of his life on June 2nd 1984, Victoria Borgmeyer.
He worked for West Gate Lanes for many years before getting into masonry work. He worked for multiple companies over the years including Harold Keating Tuckpointing, AAA Masonry, Staat INC, and James G. Staat Tuckpointing. Doug enjoyed bowling, nascar, watching the St. Louis Cardinals win, and the outdoors. He really enjoyed doing remodels on whether it be household or vehicles. Known to many of his friends as McGyver or Mr. Fix it, he could fix anything that he was tasked with. Most of all Doug enjoyed the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Victoria; sons, Travis (Ashley), Chase (Morgan); sister, Diana Brenneke; brothers, Dennis, Darrel (Lawrence), and David (Cindy); grandchildren, Braxten, Theodore, and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his brother Donald.
