Douglas Paul Cataldo, known to many as Doug, passed away at the age of 61 on September 20, 2025. He was born in Melrose, Massachusetts, to the late Albert P. and Eleanor (McCann) Cataldo.
Doug will be remembered for his quick wit, gentle soul, kind heart, and love of life. A passionate New England Patriots fan, he rarely missed a game. His love of music ran deep-he was a talented drummer who found joy in sharing music with those around him. Above all, Doug was a devoted father who loved his daughters more than anything.
He is survived by his daughters, Danielle and her husband David Poland, and Sarah Cataldo; his brother, Albert Cataldo, and sister-in-law, Marianne Cataldo; and his beloved nieces, Michelle and Natalie Cataldo, Jenn and her husband Ian Romanski, and Jamie and her husband Chris Leroy. He is also survived by many other loving family members and friends.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Albert P. and Eleanor (McCann) Cataldo; his sisters, Susanne Galvin and Linda Cataldo; and his nephew, Peter Galvin.
Details regarding services will be shared with family and friends.
Doug will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his humor, his music, his gentle soul, and the love he gave to his family.
