Patricia Cataldo (Coughlin), "Pat", of Burlington, MA, peacefully passed away on November 12, 2025, with her daughters by her side and holding her hands.

Pat was born on May 26, 1938, to Robert and Isabel (McManus) Coughlin. Pat lived in Wellesley and Stoneham, along with her siblings Robert, Alice (Mattson) and Thomas. At 14 years of age, she met Gene Cataldo, her high school sweetheart. After graduating from Stoneham High School, she attended Newton-Wellesley Nursing School and became a Registered Nurse.

Gene and Pat were married on August 27,1960 and over the next eight years became a family of five, including daughters Kathleen, Theresa and Jacqueline.

Pat was a pediatric nurse for many years. Her favorite position was caring for severely disabled children at a local children's home. She was thought of as an angel-on-earth by the patients and families with whom she came in contact. She also volunteered for several years as a Girl Scout leader and coordinator. In her retirement, she was very involved with the local Hospice organization.

Spending time with her daughters, Theresa Marciello and Jacqueline Stone, was her favorite thing to do. She especially enjoyed mutual teasing with her son-in-law, Jason Stone. Pat was blessed with five grandchildren, Nicholas and Jessica Marciello and Arianna, Taylor and Isabella Stone and one great-granddaughter. Pat also enjoyed searching for sand dollars by the shore, reading, spending time in Kennebunk, Maine and especially loved a large hot fudge sundae with chocolate chip ice cream and extra marshmallow! She truly adored her friends, some of whom she had known since grade school.

Memorial donations in Pat's name may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 4550 Montgomery Ave., Suite 1100N, Bethesda, MD 20814.

Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Nichols Funeral Home, Wilmington, MA. To leave a message of condolence for the family please visit our website at www.nicholsfuneralhome.com
