Joseph Cuoco, Sr. Obituary Joseph James Cuoco, Sr., "Joey," age 81, of Tewksbury, formerly a long-time resident of Revere, passed away on November 12, 2025.
Joey was born on February 23, 1944, in Cambridge, MA, the beloved son of the late John and Rosalie (Tortora) Cuoco. Raised and educated in Cambridge as part of a close-knit Italian family, Joey graduated from Cambridge Rindge Technical High School, where he built lifelong friendships and learned the value of hard work.
A devoted father, Joey cherished every moment spent with his children and, later, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family was the heart of Joey's life, and his presence at every gathering brought laughter and joy.
Joey had a natural talent for real estate and spent much of his life investing in and managing properties. His keen eye for opportunity and sharp negotiating skills were matched only by his enthusiasm for every project he took on.
Known to many as the "life of the party," Joey worked as a disc jockey for many years, a role that suited his vibrant personality perfectly. He was a gifted emcee who could light up any room, keep a crowd dancing, and bring people together through music. His passion for the latest hits and his effortless charm made him a true entertainer.
In his spare time, Joey enjoyed testing his luck at the casino and could always be found at the poker table. Trips to Las Vegas were a favorite pastime, where he enjoyed both the excitement of the games and the energy of the city. Above all, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren was his favorite thing to do.
Joey will be remembered for his fun-loving spirit, his generous heart, and his unwavering love for family. He touched countless lives with his kindness, humor, and genuine zest for life.
Joey was the devoted father of the late Joseph J. Cuoco, Jr., Kimarie Falzano, and Sheri Cuoco, all of Wilmington. He was the loving "Papa" of Kaila Keddie & her husband Robert, Tyler Huebner & his wife Tatiana, Scott Falzano, Jr., Sofia Cuoco, Olivia Cuoco, and Jalie Brennan & her husband Cole; and proud "Papa" to his great-grandchildren Ava, Jaxon, Lorenzo, Tatum, and Eric. Joey was the dear brother of Teresa Sorrentino & her late husband Peter, Elaine Tierney & her husband James, and John Cuoco & his wife Kathy. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, as well as his former wife and dear friend, Geraldine Szymanski.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Joey's life at a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, November 19th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington.
