Douglas Laverne Cragg

Douglas Laverne Cragg, age 80, of Cameron Mills, New York, passed away on December 11, 2024. He was born on July 19, 1944, in Bath, NY, to Bernel and Mary (Brown) Cragg. A graduate of Haverling High School in Bath, he went on to marry Helene Bohomey on May 4, 1968.
Douglas served in the Marines during the Vietnam Conflict and worked as a lineman for Penelec in West Field, PA, retiring in 2000. His career involved extensive travel, often assisting with storm repairs across the country. Doug was also a man of many talents, enjoying hobbies such as building model cars, boats, and flying RC airplanes. He was skilled with his hands, even building his own home. Despite his private nature, Doug valued time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Helene Cragg; three children, Lisa (Brian) Crane, Karen (Tom) Hargrave, and Eric (Maeana) Cragg; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Cragg.
