His Legacy Douglas Brian Donlon, 70, passed away October 18, 2024. He was born on August 09, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan, to Melvin and Nancy (Krupp) Donlon. Douglas married the love of his life, Leslie Donlon, on April 28, 1984 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Doug worked at Ford Motor Company for 40 years, a career defined by his hard work, commitment, and loyalty. He took immense pride in his work and cherished the relationships he built over the years with colleagues and friends. Family was at the core of Doug's life. He loved spending time with his two sons, Ryan and Adam, whether it was helping Ryan with plumbing projects or having long conversations about sports with Adam. Doug's family was his world, and he poured his heart into being the best father and role model to them. For 17 years, Doug was an active and beloved member of the Livingston County Conservation Club. He enjoyed organizing car shows, helping at cooking outings and volunteering for various events. Doug also had a deep love for cooking and was incredibly passionate about smoking meats. He took great joy in preparing meals for family and friends, creating unforgettable memories around the table. Doug's kindness, warmth, and love for life will always be remembered. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, devotion to his family, and a passion for bringing people together through food and laughter. He will be deeply missed by his sons, family, and friends.
His Family Doug will be missed by his wife Leslie Donlon; his children, Adam Donlon, Ryan Donlon; siblings, Pat Dennis, Cindy (Rick) Rinshed, Gale (Ken) Jurgensmeyer; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Melvin and Nancy Donlon.

I was Doug's neighbor for over 20 years! We were great friends. Doug had his way to make us all laugh. From his "Dougism's" to his stories from the past, and actual events that happened to him....he was one of a kind! As I write this I remember him fondly and want to laugh as I think of him. That was the kind of guy he was. He always had a helping hand. There are so many memories! I know his family has many memories and I hope those memories soothe them in this time of sorrow.

So sorry to learn of Douglas´ death. My wife and I met Doug about a year ago when he came with Ryan to our home in Pinckney to assist Ryan with a plumbing job. We immediately felt like we had known him forever. He was just that kind of guy. He worked on several projects at our home over the last year and as recent as a couple of weeks ago. We got to know him as a fine Christian man, so proud of his family and friends. We will miss Doug and his zest for life.
