Douglas Martin Entwistle, 94, of Dandridge, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025. Born in Atsion, New Jersey, Doug spent his early years in Indian Mills, Vincentown, and Medford New Jersey before relocating to Tennessee in 2003. Doug proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1953, stationed at Patuxent River, Maryland. As a civilian, he held several roles that reflected his creativity and technical skill, including aircraft mechanic and sign painter at McGuire Air Force Base and graphic artist at Fort Dix Army Base. He also pursued various private business ventures over the years.Doug was predeceased by his beloved wife, Trudy Betts Entwistle; his son, Douglas Bruce Entwistle; his parents, Estella Muriel and Vernon Entwistle; and his sister, Mildred Entwistle.He is survived by his children: Kathleen Vaughn Jensen and her husband David, Brian Vernon Entwistle and his wife Mari, and Keith Betts Entwistle and his wife Annette. He also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren: Andrew and Kendall Jensen, and Hannah Entwistle.Doug will be remembered for his love of music, painting, engaging conversation, and most of all, his deep devotion to family.
