Douglas "Doug" Edward Gill, peacefully passed away on November 6, 2025, at the TJ Samson Community Hospital. Born on May 7, 1955, Doug lived a life rich with experiences, family, and a profound love for Bluegrass music.
A dedicated and hardworking individual, Doug retired from RR Donnelley, His commitment to his work was matched only by his devotion to his family.
Doug is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Susie (Parker) Gill, and his cherished sons, Daniel Gill (Arkavia), Chuck Hodges (Amber), and Jon Hodges (Allana). He was a proud grandfather of Paige Turner (Hunter), Nate Simpson (Ashleigh), Gabriel Hodges, Hayden Gill, Harlan Gill, Mickey Hodges, J.T. Hodges, Alyssa Hodges, and Elle Hodges, as well as Noah Hodges. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, William Parker and Lawrence Parker (Chuim) and sisters-in-law, Mary Kerney and Judy Price (Wayne).
He was preceded in death by his father, Carrol "Bub" Gill, his mother, Emily (Mills) Gill, and his brother, Donald Joe Gill.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 10th, with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the funeral home.
