Mary Margaret Lee (Harlow), age 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2025, at her residence in Glasgow, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 3, 1935, in Glasgow, Margaret was the daughter of the late Paul and Pauline (Smith) Harlow.

Margaret dedicated much of her life to hard work and community service. She served as postmaster in Knob Lick, operated Lee’s Grocery, and assisted her husband in hauling lime, all while being a devoted homemaker. She was active in her community as the Metcalfe County campaign manager for Governor Wendell Ford and a longtime member of the Sulphur Well Homemakers. Margaret was also a faithful member of Antioch Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

To know her was to love her. Margaret was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and one of the most beautiful people you would ever meet. She found great joy in gardening, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones, including her beloved cat, Sylvester, who was always by her side. Her kindness, strength, and love will be forever cherished by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Julia Ford of Edmonton, Diana Heckel (John) of Edmonton, Lanny and Milton Lee of Knob Lick, and Lori Wooten (Ricky) of Glasgow. Along with grandchildren; Chase Ford, Tiffany and Johnathan Heckel, Brian Lee, Jeremy Lee (Kasey), Tyler Lee, Sydney Jones (David), Anna Lee, Maggie Lee, Zoe and Holdyn Wooten. Additionally, Margaret’s legacy extends to seven great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored immensely. She is also survived by her brother Joe Harlow and sister Patricia Fant (Harold).

In addition to her parents Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell T. Lee and her sisters, Elnor and Jeannine Shaw, and Frances Bartley; three brothers, Clyde, Bobby, and Donald Harlow, as well as one granddaughter, Tawana Parsons; son-in-law, Michael Ford.

Visitation for Margaret will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM & Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 8:00 AM until  time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial at Lee Family Cemetery.
