Doug was born on November 2, 1956 in Corona, CA to the late David Hills and Juanita (Carroll) Diel. On November 19, 1976, he married June (Pierce) Hills. From this lifelong marriage, they raised two children, Corey and Crystal.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Danny Hills, Derrek Hills and Dana Hills.
Doug enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Doug will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: his wife, June Hills of Rolla, MO; a son, Corey Hills and wife, Erika of Rolla, MO; one daughter, Crystal Steinbrueck and husband, Bryan of Imperial, MO; a brother, Daren Hills of Carbondale, IL; a sister, DeLisa Dillard and husband, David of Desoto, MO; a half-brother, David Hills and wife, Tammy of Rolla, MO; and two grandchildren, Ruby Hills and Max Hills.
The funeral service for Doug Hills will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow at Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
