Douglas Ralph Langfield, age 76, of Ellison Bay, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He was born on December 10, 1949 in Illinois.
Douglas enjoyed a fulfilling career as an Engineer at Caterpillar for many years and he had many passions and talents. He was a skilled artist and musician, drawing classic cars and playing the guitar. He had a deep love for wildlife and the outdoors, enjoying camping, back-packing, and off-roading adventures. He also had a passion for rebuilding classic cars, trucks, and hot rods. Douglas was also a dedicated member of his community in Big Rock Illinois, serving as a volunteer firefighter and EMT for many years. One of the many cherished memories his family holds dear is naming chipmunks they encountered during camping trips all over the country. He will be remembered for his artistic spirit, his love of nature, and his dedication to helping others.
Douglas was a caring son to Milton and Virginia Langfield and a loving husband to Pamela Lind. He was a devoted father to Joshua and Sarah and a caring brother to David and Duane. He also raised many cats and dogs.
The family would like to thank Rolf and the staff at Al Johnson’s Restaurant and St. Vincent Hospital for their compassionate care for him and his cherished dog Missy.
