Douglas Link Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Browning Funeral Home - Evansville on Jan. 2, 2024.
Douglas John Link, 61, of Evansville, Indiana left us peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville after a hard battle with cancer.
Doug was born July 16, 1962 in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Elizabeth (Loehn) and Alvin Link. He was of the Catholic Faith and had attended Holy Name Catholic Church in Henderson, Kentucky.
He had retired from selling GM automotives for several large dealerships in the Tri-State region and in the Louisville area for many decades.
He had many passions including golf, photography, attending music concerts, wildlife, gardening, horse racing, and was a faithful NFL Browns fan, just to name a few. His zest for life and knowledge was contagious and his many stories and tales of the car business will be deeply missed.
Douglas is survived by his fiancé, Salli Rackley of Evansville and children and her whom he cherished and adored as his own; sons, Andrew Link of Henderson, KY and James Link (Tabatha) of Morristown, TN; sister, Kathy Bailey of Madisonville, KY; brothers, Alan Link of Henderson, KY, Dr. Jeffery Link of Chicago, IL, and Scott Link of New York, NY; grandchildren, Landon, Caiden, Jameson, and Brylee, along with many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Douglas' life will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711.
