Douglas Metry Obituary
Doug attended Sacred Heart Model School and graduated from Trinity High School. He attended UK as well as UofL.
Doug enjoyed any activity on the water, such as fishing and boating. He also loved to play and watch golf.
His daughter's favorite memories of him include finding small critters along the waters edge, and spending time in nature exploring.
Doug was preceded in death by sisters, infant Mary and Sarah Malvena Metry Najjar (Mark Najjar)
He is survived by his children, Parker Douglas Metry, Eleanor Grace Metry, and grandson, Oakleon Miles Metry.
He is also survived by his parents, brothers, Robert A. Metry Jr. (Jerianne Timmerman), David A. Metry (Jackie Brockhoff).
Visitation: 5:30-7:30 PM on Sunday, May 7 at Saint Michael Orthodox Church, 3701 Saint Michael Church Drive, Louisville, KY 40220. Funeral at 7:30 PM, followed by a mercy meal.
Monday, May 8 brief prayers at Saint Michael Orthodox Church at 10 AM, followed by internment at Cave Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Highlands Funeral Home.

My heart is just broken Im at a loss for words... He will always be in my heart and my prayers go up for his family; especially his Mom , daughter , and grandson who I know he loved so very much!!
