Douglas Marvin Mundell, 65 of Port Orange, FL passed away at his home on March 12, 2023.
Doug was a loving, hardworking family man and business owner. He spent most of his life in Central Florida but was originally from Clovis, NM where he met his wife Carol and had their 3 children; Jeremy, Jennifer and Justin. Moving to Florida in 1986 he made a life with his family and spent the rest of his days working and providing.
Doug loved to laugh. In jest he would poke fun lovingly at others but always laughed harder when the joke was on him. He so loved to laugh. He always said the best shows or movies to watch were comedies. He would sit with the family and bring up jokes or scenes from movies and just laugh and laugh. One of his favorite movies was National Lampoon's Vacation.
Doug liked to be outside and something he liked to do often when he had the time was to fish. Fishing was something he had done quite a bit when he had moved to Florida. He had spent a lot of time with his family fishing as well as camping with his wife, Carol.
He would do anything for his family. He would fix vehicles, home repair, and help with expenses. He was always someone who would be willing to help. Doug was known in his circles as someone who could get it done. A tag line for his business at one point was "One Call Does it All". This was entirely true. Doug had an ability to figure out how to fix most anything and would give it his absolute best if he encountered a new challenge.
Something that may not be known about Doug is that he was a great cook and baker. He loved to grill outdoors, and he always made a point to bake a cake for someone's birthday. He would stay up the night before the birthday celebration and bake a special cake for that special person. It was always a delicious cake.
Doug was always happy knowing his children and grandchildren were healthy and happy. Every time he spoke to others about them he bragged about how well they turned out. He had a lot to do with that.
Doug leaves behind his brothers; Dale, Gary, Jerry and Sammy. His wife Carol. Children; Jeremy, Jennifer, and Justin. Grandchildren; Haley, R.J., and Emily.
Doug was a wonderful man who was loved dearly, and will be missed sorely.

I would like to express my condolences to the Mundell family. Douglas was the youngest of the Mundell brothers and I liked Douglas as I do Jerry, Gary and Dale. I'm sure the are taking Dougs death very hard and I hope time will ease the pain.
