Robert Nipper Obituary

Robert "Bob" Baker Nipper-beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend-passed with his family by his side on Friday, August 22, 2025. Bob is survived by his wife Danella Nipper, his sister Peggy Haynes, his children Joe and Natalie Whittington, Neil and Tracy Nipper, Nathan and Brianna Nipper, and Nate and Joy Nipper, and his fifteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was born in Daytona Beach, Florida on March 20, 1943, to Louise and Leonard Nipper. He graduated from Mainland High School in 1961 where he served as SGA President. While Bob was at Samford University in Birmingham, AL, he met the love of his life, Danella. They were married in 1966. Then, Bob completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida before attending a prestigious and competitive veterinary program at Auburn University where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. In 1977, he opened Spruce Creek Animal Clinic in Port Orange, FL. Later, Bob was joined by his partner, Dr. Jim Trantham.

Bob lived his life for Christ, raising his family in the church and showing by example what it means to follow God. For 54 years, he taught college, young marrieds, and men's Bible study classes, faithfully pouring into the lives of others. Bob showed the love of Jesus to everyone he met. He often shared scripture with his friends and family and told them what he learned in church that week.

Alongside his spiritual legacy, Bob also left behind his infectious sense of humor. He was known for his hilarious skits and elaborate jokes, and he could always find a way to make people laugh. While he will be greatly missed, the joy and love he had for people remains.

Donations can be made to The Timothy Initiative at www.ttiglobal.org which supports church planting in Togo, Africa. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at First Baptist Church Daytona on Saturday, September 6 at 1:00 PM.

"Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus, we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words." 1 Thessalonians 4:17–18

Yesterday

Bob Nipper was a wonderful man. We graduated from Mainland
High School in 1961. He was popular, handsome and well liked
by all. He will be missed by so many of us. He will be hugged by
my Dad, Chuck Butler, who was his high school football coach as soon
as my Dad sees him.
My heart goes out to his family and I will express my sympathy to them
on Saturday at his service.
Love,
Sherry Butler Davis
