Doug and I worked together for many years and he served as one of my managers for many of those. He was a very kind person with a huge heart. He loved his job, family, and friends. He will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. Rest in peace and suffer no more my friend. Prayers and thoughts are with the family and may God hold you in his comforting arms during this difficult time. Allen Owen

Diane, Doug and Dennis were important parts of our lives growing up. My brother and I were six years younger than Doug and he was always nice to his baby cousins. He and Dennis introduced us to collecting baseball cards and comic books. They gave us our first baseball cards and it started a hobby we enjoyed for decades. When I worked in Austin in the Texas Legislature Doug came to the Capitol with his Leadership Fort Bend County group and he made time to visit with me. Years later when my husband and I got married, Doug and Cathy were the only Tagliabue family members to make it to our wedding. That will always mean so much to me. Doug cared deeply about family. He made it a point to be at several functions honoring my dad (his uncle) after he passed. I have wonderful memories of Doug, his dad, my dad, my brother and me talking baseball, especially our beloved and then-hapless Houston Astros. Doug was always good natured and had a ready smile. I´m heartbroken over losing my cousin. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
