Douglas Williams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pucedo Funeral Home on Feb. 6, 2026.
Douglas Grant Williams, age 95, passed into the loving arms of our Lord, on Thursday evening, February 5th, at Mercy House.

He was born in Johnson City N.Y. and lived in the Triple Cities area his entire life, eventually settling in Endwell N.Y. with his family since 1961. Doug was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Georgia Williams, his beloved twin sister Dolores and husband David Dopp, his brother and favorite golfing buddy Walter Williams Jr., and his brother-in-laws, Francis Michalek and Donald Smith.

Doug is survived by his wife of 69 years, Delores (Michalek) Williams, his son, Bob and wife Donna Williams, daughter Pamela and her husband David Harmon. Grandchildren Jason Williams (Jaclyn), Christy Easley (Judson), Daniel Harmon (Mary) and Jonathan Harmon (Jessica). Also survived by Great Grandchildren Liana and Adelyn Williams and Rhett and Shepherd Harmon. Additionally, he is survived by his sisters, Joan Smith and Barbara Furman and her husband John, along with sisters-in-law Gloria Williams and Barbara Michalek. Also, several nieces and nephews.

Doug graduated from Binghamton Central High school, and served proudly in the United States Navy as Petty Officer 2nd class on the USS Adirondack AGC15 during the Korean war, primarily off the Italian coast.

Doug spent a 33-year career with IBM Endicott with several of those in production management. He excelled at finding a way to fix just about anything he put his mind to. He took pride in having one of the nicest lawns in his neighborhood, and enjoyed bowling, fishing at the Cannononsville Reservoir and especially, golf! Doug spent all 95 years of his life having never set foot on an airplane, a fact that drove his family crazy.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 11th from 9 to 10:30 AM, with a service at 10:30. Burial will immediately follow in Calvary Cemetery with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Mercy House in Endicott, N.Y.
