Miles Funeral Home - HoldenWORCESTER– Dr. Allen H. Storm, age 87, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, surrounded by the presence of his family. Raised in the Bronx, Allen was the son of Maynard and Marion (Krugler) Storm.
Allen graduated from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine and specialized in Occupational Health after earning a Master of Public Health degree from Harvard University, where he later taught. Allen served for many years as Medical Director at Wyman Gordon Company and subsequently was Medical Director, Employee Health Services at UMASS Medical School.
Allen was devoted to Jewish faith, studies and values, and was an inspiration to his children and all who knew him. He cherished his cottage on Cape Cod, his many dogs, and his beautiful garden. Most of all, he cherished his family.
Allen will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Mari, and his children and grandchildren, Jennifer Grabel, her husband Lee and their son Noah; Cara Storm and her partner Erik Hanson; Elizabeth Storm and her husband Paul Ashby; Rachel Shabani; and Dr. Joshua Shabani, his wife Faye Dupras and their son Elijah. He was predeceased by his brother Dr. Neal Storm in 1981.
Family and friends will gather for a Graveside Funeral Service at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 14, 2025, at B’nai Brith Cemetery, 55 St. John’s Road, Worcester. The family will sit Shiva at the family home immediately following the funeral, through Thursday, November 20 (excluding Shabbat). Shiva hours are from 11am-3pm and 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Jewish Healthcare Center, Magen David Adom and Alzheimer’s Association.
