Arthur Nelson, M.D., 96 passed away peacefully at home on April 16th,2024.
He was born on March 30th,1928, in New York. Driven by a lifelong interest in healing, Arthur pursued medical studies in Utrecht, Netherlands, graduating in 1961. He returned to the United States to complete a residency in psychiatry at Hackensack Hospital in New Jersey.
Arthur went on to train at the American College of Orgonomy, where he began his long and passionate career as a Medical Orgone Therapist. He was deeply devoted to his work and cared profoundly for his patients- and they for him. So great was his commitment that he continued practicing until the age of 90.
Arthur is survived by his two children, Larry Nelson and Laurie Nelson Lehey; his beloved long term partner, Eleanor Blanchard; three grandsons and two great grandsons.
He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, dedication and genuine human connection.
