Dr. Kermit Walters, Jr. Obituary
Funeral services celebrating the life of Dr. Kermit L. Walters, Jr, 75, of Lafayette, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday August 31, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Rayville, Louisiana with Raylon Trisler officiating. Interment will follow in Rayville Masonic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Rayville, Louisiana.
Dr. Walters died August 27, 2024, at Lafayette General Hospital.
Dr. Walters was a graduate of Rayville High School (1967), Louisiana State University and Tulane Medical School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Martha Walters.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Mrs. Dianne Walters; son, K. Lamar Walters, III and his wife, Frances; grandchildren, Daisy Walters and Owen Walters; brother, Randy Walters and his wife, Stephanie Walters; nephew, R.J. Walters and wife, Baylee; and great nephew, Beckett.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
