Dr. Steven J. Greenberg, 84, of Blue Bell, PA, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 16, 1941, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Emmanuel and Pauline Greenberg, Steven grew up with a strong sense of family and community. He graduated from Northeast High School before attending Muhlenberg College and Thomas Jefferson Medical School. Following medical school, Steven proudly served his country as a physician in the United States Air Force.
After his service, Steven built a long and distinguished career as an OB/GYN, practicing at Einstein, Rolling Hill, and Jeanes Hospitals in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. Known for his compassionate care, and lifelong dedication to women’s health, he touched the lives of countless patients and their families over the course of his career. Many remember him not only as a skilled doctor, but as a calm and reassuring presence during life’s most important moments.
Outside of medicine, Steven found joy in golf, a passion he pursued throughout his life. He was a longtime member of Meadowlands Country Club, now Bluestone, where he cultivated enduring friendships on and off the course.
Above all, Steven was a family man. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a deeply affectionate grandfather. He cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren, celebrating milestones both big and small, and he will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and strength.
Steven is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Carole; his children Larry Greenberg (Karen) and Nancy Cutler (Ben); his step-sons, Adam Lieberman (Mary) and Louis Lieberman (Michelle); and his eight grandchildren—Abby, Amanda & Ava Greenberg, Alex & Jake Cutler, Jackie Lieberman, Caroline Cash and Maura Houk, who brought him endless pride and joy.
