Celebrating the life of Dr. Veronica Late Greer.
Veronica Late Greer, 62, departed this earthly life on Sunday, May 26, 2024, in El Paso, Texas.
Dr. Veronica Late Greer was born on February 7, 1962, to Charles and Pearline Greer in Cato, Arkansas. She accepted Christ as her savior at an early age at Chapel 4 in El Paso, Texas. She is the oldest of three children. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Wesley Greer, and siblings Valerie Latrice and Byron Samuel. And grandparents Samuel and Sallie Greer and Odell Watson Sr. and Rosetta McFadden-Watson.
She leaves behind two brothers Gaylon Dwell (Michelle) Greer and Eric Lamar Greer. One niece Natasha Greer ( Jay’da Rose, Kayan Martez Moore, Lexi Adelitha Holston), and nephews Traion Lemond (Alaiah Mary Michelle) Dashon Marquese Smith. Veronica also leaves two Aunts; Edna (Donald-deceased) Tolliver and Jearline (Eugene) Tolliver; and a host of cousins, other family, friends, and colleagues.
Veronica graduated salutatorian from Austin High School, El Paso, Texas. Veronica went on to attend and graduate from the University of Texas at El Paso majoring in Biology. During her time at UTEP, she became a member of the prestigious ETA Delta chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Incorporated. She continued her studies at McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas graduating with honors in 1989.
Dr. Veronica Greer MD-FAAEM wore a host of hats during her 35 years of service with associations with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in the Emergency Department and as a lecturer, new physician recruitment, and at University Medical Center in the role as a Physician Advisor, and Clinical Decision Support (CDI).
Visitation 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Service 10:00 AM, Friday, June 7, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East. Graveside Service will follow at 12:30 PM at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
