Born on March 24, 1997, Drake grew up in Wyandotte alongside his sister, Dennesa. Drake's life was not without challenges, but in recent years he was working to rebuild and create a new path forward. His greatest joy was becoming a father to his beloved son, Dawson, with his partner, Katie. He loved his little family deeply and found hope and purpose in being a dad.
Drake is survived by his mother, Denyell Girvin, his stepfather, Dennis Girvin, his sister, Dennesa Girvin his partner, Katie, his son, Dawson, his grandparents Claudia and (your dads name) and friends who loved him.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 18th at Heritage Funeral Home in Southgate. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to a fund being established for baby Dawson's future.
Though Drake's journey was not always easy, he will be remembered for his heart, his laughter, and the love he had for his family. The family takes comfort in knowing he is now at peace.
