Drew Mains Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Crawford Family Funeral & Cremation Service - Edmond on Oct. 3, 2023.
Drew Taylor Mains, 37, of Oklahoma City, passed away on September 27, 2023. His family and friends were shocked and deeply saddened by the loss. Born on February 11th, 1986 in Edmond, Oklahoma, Drew was known for his sense of humor, adventurous spirit, leadership, faith, and generosity; all qualities he embraced and shared abundantly throughout his life and with those he knew and loved.
Drew earned his Bachelor's Degree of Technology, Emergency Responder, Administration, but immediately changed directions as he was an entrepreneur at heart. After marrying Anna Levy (2012), Drew and Anna created a series of restaurants that changed the Oklahoma City food and beverage scene. In the Raw Sushi, Knucks Wheelhouse, and Rockford Cocktail Den were home to culinary experiences as unique as their creators. Their passion for delivering great food and memories was known by all who dined at their establishments. While Anna and Drew later went their separate ways, their brilliance in business and food lives on in the memories of those ventures.
In addition to business, Anna and Drew shared a son, Nixon. Nixon was Drew's greatest dream of fatherhood come true. Drew loved getting into mischief and adventure during visits with Nixon. He also loved to brag about how intelligent, funny, and kind Nixon is. Drew shared an especially remarkable bond with his sister, Shae, who is as proud of Nixon as Drew was. Drew's proudest accomplishment in life was Nixon and his love for him was paramount.
Drew had a variety of interests that enriched his life. An avid snowboarder and traveler, his spirit for adventure and people led him to explore various corners of the world, including Iceland, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Ireland. Not merely vacations, Drew's travels captured him swimming with the manatees and riding horseback through the waters. These enriching experiences broadened his perspective and deepened his appreciation for God's creation.
Drew's love for his friends and family was vivid and reverberates through his many connections through the years. In high school, Drew was a stand out, not for the typical, but for his inclusivity, kindness, and ability to stand true to who he was. His humor and genuineness knew no social circles or bounds. His friends called him their true leader and could count on him for encouragement and support. Later in life, Drew's AA buddies were among his closest friends. Drew's family is grateful for their presence and support of Drew through the years. We know Drew is rooting for their success. Drew also believed Jesus Christ was his Savior and Lord, and his faith was his cornerstone, helping him persevere through the trials and hardships in life.
Above all, Drew Mains will be remembered for his contagious laughter, boundless generosity, hard work, infectious love for adventure, and challenging others to step out of their comfort zones and explore the unknown with him. As a loving father, son, brother, and great friend, his zest for life left a permanent mark on those who were blessed to have known him.
Drew is survived by his son, Nixon Mains; mother, Pam Boatwright; siblings, Sam Mains IV, Shae Melot, (husband Justin); and Jeff Mains (wife Lauren). He will be fondly remembered by his five nephews, Sam V, Ryan, Brody, Brixton, and Cash, who cherished his playful and quirky nature. Drew was preceded in death by his father, Sam Mains III, by whom he inherited some of his most valuable qualities.
As we celebrate the life he lived and remember the countless moments of joy he brought to our lives, let us praise God, in the knowledge that Drew is now with his Lord, healed of ailments, free from sin, at peace with God.

I knew Drew since he was a kid-he grew up with my boys and was a business partner with Zach and Jake. He always had a smile on his face, was always respectful and I will remember most, his sweet spirit. RIP. My sincere condolences to all the Mains family.
