Duane Larson, 71, died on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Frazee Care Center, Frazee, MN.
Duane Allen Larson was born on September 24, 1953, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Lovell Oscar Milton and Delores Vivian (Lammers) Larson. He grew up and attended high school in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota graduating in 1972. After graduating, he embarked on a career as a truck driver, working for several companies including AmeriGas, Timber Roots, Sutton Transport, and Egge’s Trucking. A devoted family man, Duane cherished time spent with his grandchildren and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He was often found indulging in coffee at Round Table in Vergas, Minnesota, or taking leisurely drives through the countryside. Known for his kindness and humor, Duane had a remarkable ability to make those around him laugh with his endless supply of jokes. Even in his final days, he retained his sharp wit and playful spirit.
Duane is survived by his loving children: Jodi (Justin) Anderson and Rob (Emily) Larson of Detroit Lakes, grandchildren: Emma, Wyatt, and Chloe Black, David Sepanski and Ethan Black, David and Rylan Langlie, and Layton, Cadyn, Bella, and Izzy Larson, brothers: Dale (Lori Tjaden) Larson, Donnie (Jane Lammers) Larson, Delmer Larson and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Debra Larson, parents, daughter and son-in-law, Paula (Michael) Black and sister, Christie Larson.
The memorial service for Duane Larson will be held at Lakes Area Word Fellowship Church, 151 S 1st Ave, Vergas, MN 56587, on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 2PM with Pastor Larry Vosika officiating.
