Duane Shell Obituary
March 21, 1941-December 28, 2022
Duane "Ed" Shell passed away December 28, 2022 at Community Hospital Anderson after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer and Heart Disease.
Born March 21, 1941 in Frankton to George C. and Mary Bell (Fish) Shell. A graduate of Anderson High School. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1959-1961. He retired from Delco-Remy after 36 years of employment.
Ed enjoyed woodworking, golfing, and taking his grandchildren camping, especially out West to the National Parks.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie "Marj"; son, Duane Erick (Jody) Shell; daughter, Yvette Suzanne (Randall) Lawson; grandson, Tristan Lawson; granddaughter, Sophie Shell. Also surviving is a very special nephew, Randy (Nancy) Chapman; brother, Ronnie (Donna) Shell; sister-in-law, Jayne Fauss; and several other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, December 31, 2022 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Services will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Zirkle officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Shriners Children's Hospital or Meadowbrook Baptist Church.
