Duncan Evans Obituary
A celebration of life for Duncan Eric Evans, 62, of West Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Moose Lodge 1723, 1875 New Natchitoches Road West Monroe, Louisiana 71292, with the Moose Ritual Team and Pastor Bruce Underwood officiating.
Mr. Evans was born on January 9, 1962, in Monroe, Louisiana, and passed away on May 1, 2024, in Ruston, Louisiana.
Mr. Duncan loved his family and animals, he raised many in his lifetime. He became a certified “Road” scholar through LTAP. He was a life member of West Monroe Moose Lodge 1723 and Bayou Moose Legion 116, where he earned a fellowship degree.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James “JM” Evans; mother, Ruby Wright Evans; father, Harvie Lee Evans; sister, Dianne Hodge; and niece, Christy Thomasie-Freeman.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Nicholas Evans and his wife, Tori; grandchildren, Claire, Ila, Chloe, and Tauriel; and significant other, Cheryl Dye; granddaughter, Destiny Black; brother, Harvie, Jr. “Buddy” Evans, Donnie Evans, and Chester Evans; sister, Marie Sheppart-Evans and Doris Thomasie; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the West Monroe Moose Lodge 1723 or in memory to Moose Charities, 155 South International Drive, Mooseheart, Illinois 60539-1100, or a charity of your choosing.
