Dusan Ninkovic, 86, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2015 at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.

Dusan Ninkovic was born July 14, 1928 in Novi Grad Bosnia to Vid and Stana (Dragojlovic) Ninkovic. He grew up in Bosnia where he received his education. On January 1, 1955 Dusan was united in marriage to Desanka Mitrovic, and the couple was blessed with one son, Darko. The family lived in Bosnia before making their home in Ankeny 16 years ago. Dusan was very close with his family and always loved spending time with them.

Dusan is survived by his wife of 60 years, Desanka Ninkovic; son, Darko Ninkovic; daughter-in-law, Dijana Ninkovic; and grandchildren, Tamara Ninkovic and Vanja Ninkovic. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
