It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dustin “Lance” Richards, age 53, on February 2, 2025.
Lance was born on May 5, 1971, in Amarillo, Texas, to the late Gary Richards and Rose “Wynell” Richards. He grew up in the city he was born in and went on to become a successful husband, father, and pharmacist. He attended West Texas State University, Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and finally finished school at Texas Tech University with a Doctorate in Clinical Pharmacy. In 1999 Lance met and married the love of his life, Tiffany Miller. Through their twenty-five years of loving marriage the Lord blessed them with three wonderful sons. Justis (22), Navy (20), and Titan (18).
Anyone who knew Lance would immediately remember with fondness his contagious smile and warm laugh. He was someone who would instantly light up a room upon entering. Lance was a man ready to jump at the chance of adventure. He loved to be outside, whether tending to the lawn, expressing his hidden talent as a mechanic, or playing sports with his sons. Additionally, if you saw Lance, there would be a good chance that he would be sipping a cup of coffee, one of his many hobbies. However, more important than all these outward interests, Lance possessed a tender and loyal heart towards his family. He always put the needs of his wife and three boys above his own: sacrificing career aspirations or personal gain for the sake of his family. He was a man determined to love and care for the people the Lord had put in his life.
He will lovingly be remembered by his brother Sean Richards, and his mother-law, three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, six nieces, and four nephews.
A service will be held at First Baptist Maypearl (5744 Fm 66, Maypearl, TX 76064) on Saturday February 8 at 2:00pm. The family welcomes all who wish to attend.
Lance will be deeply missed, and his memories will forever remain in our hearts.
