Dustin Swinford went to Heaven on January 12th 2022. He fought a good fight and he finished the race that God set out for him. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 A Celebration of Life will be held at Harvestfield Church, 4533 Rainbow Drive, Rainbow City, Alabama on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022. Visitation at 5pm, service at 6pm.
Waiting with open arms alongside Jesus were his daddy, John Swinford, grandparents: Glenn and Betty Swinford, Buster and Jewell Walker, Michael Egan, Wayne Pledger, Nancy Rollins and so many other relatives and friends.
Dustin was born January 8th, 1978 to John and Patty Swinford. Dustin surrendered his heart to the Lord's calling when he was 10 years old. He preached the Gospel with the way he lived his life.
Always curious and always accomplishing, he was a natural with anything he attempted. He loved the water, he loved football, animals, and building anything out of nothing. Dustin graduated from Hokes Bluff High School in 1996, JSU in 2000 and later earning his Master's degree in 2018.
Dustin married his high school
sweetheart, Robyn in 2002. God blessed them with Kylie and Lauryn. His career was focused on IT engineering but his heart was always focused on serving his family and his church body. As an elder, he showed up without being asked. Mark 10:43-45. "Whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be servant of all." The family has been members of Harvestfield Church since 2001.
Left to continue his legacy are his wife of twenty years Robyn Swinford, daughters Kylie and Lauryn, mother Patty and brother Cory, his wife Marie and nephews Silas and Benjamin, father and mother-in-law John and Ann Bryant, brother and sister-in-law Barry and Amanda Buchanan, nephews and niece Jeffry, Ruby, Nicholas and William, many other aunts, uncles, cousins and relatives, special cousins Staci and Jonathan Kellett, and best friend for almost 40 years, Alan Kuykendall.
We want to thank Dr. Eric Reaves and the elders of Harvestfield Church, Carl and Jennifer Knight, Keith and Gidget Reid, and the home groups who served us so well. Dr. Amin, Dr. Echeverri, Dr. Molly deShazo, special nurse Olivia, UAB Infusion Lab nurses whom he loved to aggravate, the amazing staff at Gadsden Regional Medical Center ER - Amy, Juliette, Bethany and Heather. A very special thank you to Ann Shields.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Harvestfield Church.
Psalm 55:22
Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.
