DuWayne "Toby" Hanneman of Antigo, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025 at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was born on March 24, 1947 in Marshfield, Wisconsin to Elmer and Berdina (Wendt) Hanneman of Fernwood, Wisconsin.

DuWayne attended Fernwood and Edgar public schools and graduated from Edgar High School in 1965. He entered the United States Army and served from 1966 to 1969. In 1973, he married Karen Johnson of Watertown, Wisconsin in the Town of Wein, and together raised three children.

Toby worked for the railroad and in window and door factories in Wausau and Merrill before his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking projects and feeding the birds and wild critters.

Survivors include his wife, Karen; a daughter, Tammy Stine of Wellsville, MO; a son, John Hanneman of Tomahawk; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a brother, Ken Hanneman of Yuma, AZ; a sister, Carol (John) Nortman of Black River Falls; a sister-in-law, Marsha Hanneman; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son, David Hanneman; son-in-law, Dale Stine Jr.; and two brothers, Roger (Darlene) Hanneman and Glen Hanneman.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, August 22, at the Bradley Funeral Home beginning at 10 a.m. a service will be held at 11 a.m.

Burial and military honors will take place at the Northwoods National Veterans Cemetery in Harshaw, WI on Friday at 1 p.m.
