A Catholic Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 11:00 am at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA for Dwayne Raymond Langlois, 64, who passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Visitation will be observed at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 9:00 am until the time of service. A Rosary will be recited by Deacon Robert Klingman on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 10:30 am at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA. Inurnment will follow in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette, LA. Deacon Robert Klingman, of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette, LA, will officiate. Dwayne Raymond Langlois, was born August 3, 1961, in Opelousas, LA and was a long-time resident of Acadiana. He graduated from Vermilion Catholic High School in Abbeville, LA. After high school, Dwayne attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he received a Bachelor's Degree. Dwayne worked for many years in the hospitality industry. He was a parishioner of St. Edmond Roman Catholic Church in Lafayette, LA, where he served as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist for several years. Dwayne enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and liked to watch basketball and baseball. He especially loved cheering on the Ragin Cajuns. Dwayne found fulfillment in cooking and was always up for a good card game. Most of all, he cherished the moments he had with his grandchildren. Family meant everything to Dwayne, and he leaves a legacy of love and will be deeply missed. Dwayne is survived by his son, Andrew Langlois and his fiancée, Erin Triche, of Prairieville, LA; his daughter, Jessica Ruth Langlois Hollier and her husband, Tyler, of Carencro, LA; his two brothers, Timothy Langlois and his fiancée, Jo Ann, of Alexandria, LA and David Langlois and his wife, Celeste, of Madison, MS; his two sisters, Stacie Clement and her husband, Gerald, of Youngsville, LA and Toni Langlois, of Lafayette, LA; his four grandchildren, Carson and Amelia Langlois, Olivia and Tate Hollier and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 24 years, Ruth Meaux Langlois and his parents, Harold Lavergne and Marie Louise Fontenot Langlois. The family wishes to thank the staff of Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center and J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home for the compassionate care given to Dwayne and his family.
